The role you’ll play
As a tech-enabled language service provider for B2B customers, LanguageWire is currently undergoing a transformation from a volume-based pricing and business model to offering modular technology on a SaaS basis. To drive this transition and ensure sustainability and predictability in our business, the company is seeking a commercial-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who can help drive this transformation.
You will be a strategic and hands-on financial leader who combines financial excellence with strong business acumen. Your mission is to ensure transparency, predictability, and insight across financial results, regions, and offerings—while actively supporting growth and value creation.
Located in: Copenhagen (Frederiksberg), Denmark
The team you’ll be a part of
As CFO, you will lead an organization of approximately 25 employees across multiple European locations. Your areas of responsibility include:
• Corporate Finance
• Internal IT (Infrastructure & Support)
• Legal
• Group Facilities
The CFO reports directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the executive leadership team (C-team).
Key stakeholders include:
• CEO and C-team
• Finance, IT, Legal teams
• Local and global leaders across LanguageWire
• External partners: auditors, banks, legal advisors, insurance providers
• Board of Directors and majority owner, Bridgepoint

Finance:
• The CFO has overall responsibility for finance and compliance
• Responsible for all areas of the finance department, including but not limited to:
- Budget & forecasts
- Monthly and annual reporting
- Revenue and Cash flow forecasts
- Value creation plans
- Financial benchmarks
- Tax payments
- Ad hoc analyses etc.
• Responsible for project controlling and risk control
• Main stakeholder in business case preparation for CAPEX-allocation and follow-up
• Responsibility for financial reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors
• Providing proactive business support and documents to be used as the basis for decision-making
• Responsible for banking relations and cash management
Internal IT:
• The CFO is responsible for IT Support and IT Infrastructure on internal systems such as ERP, CMS, CRM etc.
- IT Support (equipment, project deliveries and troubleshooting)
- IT Infrastructure (maintenance/support on-Prem servers, cloud hosting and network)
Legal:
• The CFO is overall responsible for legal matters related to customer contracts, compliance and Corporate Governance. Legal employee matters are handled by HR.
Facilities:
• The CFO is overall responsible for the groups facilities and ensures the facilities in general are according to group standards and matches the company’s need. In Copenhagen the office coordinator reports directly to the CFO, where office coordinators in other countries have local reporting line.
ESG:
• The CFO is overall responsible for the progress and reporting on the groups ESG activities in close collaboration with the VP of HR. This is an excellent opportunity to be visible and engaged with the organization ‘outside’ the finance-umbrella.

What you’ll need to bring
You are a confident and competent leader, with sound knowledge of the financial toolbox – from operational to strategic. In other words, a CFO with an eye on the ball and who is aware that value is created through secure financial management, commercial thinking and control of the company.
It is also expected that the new CFO will be deeply involved in and, to a certain extent, proactive drive various change projects such as:
• Translates financial data into commercial insights (e.g. margin analysis, customer profitability, and pricing strategy)
• Follow up on operational KPIs and ensure they drive practical business actions
• Business case preparation and ROI-analysis on CAPEX prioritization in close collaboration with the CTO
• Partner with the commercial organization to develop and implement a pricing strategy that captures the full value of the company’s technology and services and drives profitable growth
As a private equity-owned company, it is expected that a process of acquiring businesses and/or selling of our own business will be introduced in the future. Moreover, the CFO is first point of contact for the Private Equity Fund and the banks, that holds the Company’s loans.
Furthermore, the CFO must be a skilled leader with good communication skills, who can lead and build effective working relationships. The CFO must be able to interact well with colleagues at all levels and also be keen to participate in social activities. On the top of this the CFO are good at delegating tasks and -projects to the finance team.
The candidate has documented 3-5 years' experience as, for example, an accounting manager, VP Finance, CFO or similar and probably has an MBA, MSc (Econ), MSc in Advanced Economics and Finance, Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or similar background.
Comprehensive experience with hands-on controlling – budget preparation, forecasting, deviation analysis, etc
As LanguageWire is private equity-owned company, you have good insights and experience in incentive structures and incentive driven organisations.
Experience with acquisitions and post-merger integration is an advantage.
IT literate with good systems and programme management skills
As the Company is present in several counties, the candidate should expect some travelling i.e. 2-4 days a month.
