Who we are – professionally:

 

We are a Contract Research Organization (CRO).

Driven by our motto - Experience Matters – we have specialized in Data Management, Programming and Statistics for more than 10 years, and are met with an increasing demand for our services.

 

We offer all Biometrics services required in relation to clinical and device trials, including Statistics, Data Management and Programming.

 

We are a privately owned – and financially well consolidated – company, located in Birkerød.

 

Who we are – personally:

 

When Bjarne Bodin and Peter Lipczak founded BioStata in 2010 it was with the clear vision of establishing a company build on a deliberately small team, meaning 15 – 20 people.

 

This was chosen in order to combine the strength of deep expertise normally found in large organizations – with the flexibility and freedom only found in small companies.

 

Having lived this vision for more than a decade now, we can safely say that some of the keywords describing our working atmosphere are: Trust, helpfulness, freedom, open-mindedness, kindness, responsibility, opportunity for influence – and a high degree of professional dedication to what we do.

 

The contour of the position:

 

We deliberately use the word “contour” – as the job obviously has an outline and some prerequisites – but at the same time you will have a very real influence on, how this outline is filled – and lived.

 

The prerequisites are that you:

 

  • Have a minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in the Life Science industry
  • Preferably have 3 – 4 years of relevant, managerial experience – also in the industry
  • Have a significant background in statistics or, alternatively, programming
  • Are willing to alternate between the managerial aspects of the job – and exercising your skillset (statistics or programming) – most likely on a 50/50 basis
  • Know how to manage, motivate, and inspire professionals that like to work on an independent basis
  • Speak and write English fluently
  • Can exert what we call “diplomatic authority” when dealing with our customers – being able to both “stand your ground” and build/maintain good relations – simultaneously
  • Have strong people skills – so that the members of our small “Professional Family” will both like - and respect you
  • Know how to strike the right balance between not missing important details – and still avoid micro-managing

As Director of Biometrics you will become the daily manager of our statisticians, data managers and programmers – including task/resource management on our customer facing projects as well as personal/professional sparring and coaching with your colleagues.

 

On some projects you will be our face towards our customers, ensuring that both external and internal expectations are met.

 

You will report to – and be fully supported by – the COO and CEO of the company.
